I’m a UX designer with over 10 years of experience creating end-to-end products. My practice involves observing behaviors in people and systems, making hypotheses about design approaches, and testing them iteratively through low-to-high fidelity prototypes. My background in computer science combined with human-centered design methods allows me to explore design solutions that are both innovative and delightful to use. Over the last five years, I’ve been focusing on designing experiences at the intersection of product development, data visualization, machine learning and data science.
As a design consultant, I help startups and think-tanks develop new products, technologies and services working from UX research through design strategy to UX/UI design. Previously, I was a design lead at Samsung Mobile Lab and Globo.com, where I helped bring many products to life, reaching millions of users worldwide.

The core question in any design process is how to get from a question or brief to a successful intervention or solution. Depending on the scale at which design is being applied problems can’t be solved as any intervention/solutions will change the state of the system to unknown states. Being aware of this fact enables designers to form hypotheses of how different interventions can change the state of the system in anticipation.
While this map presents a clear cut between different phases, in reality, things are more chaotic, with many jumps along the way. The time dedicated to each step can take from one week to 6 months. Shorter stages are preferred, as moving through the entire process produces more insights about the problem. The double diamond represents the abstract notion of diverging and converging, exploration, and synthesis.
I try to balance the business goals of the organization with the limits of technology and users' needs. I've developed leadership and storytelling skills in order to communicate the value of design to multiple stakeholders in cross-functional teams.
I use color, typography, icons, motion, and visual hierarchy to clarify data and indicate relationships between elements. I strive to achieve the ideal balance between familiar visual motifs and unexpected aesthetics to trigger curiosity and interest from users.
I put users at the center of everything I do. By focusing on understanding people, their behaviors and their social environment, design can play a strategic role in shaping how products and services evolve to meet user needs and goals.
I employ qualitative and quantitative research methods combining ethnography and data science to arrive at new user insights and to embrace a more complex understanding of the problem domain.
